The Ravens quarterback seems poised to win his third NFL MVP with how he’s playing this season.

Lamar Jackson is playing some of the best football of his career right now.

At first blush that statement might seem outlandish. After all, we are talking about a quarterback coming off his second MVP season, which he won a year ago when he secured 49 out of 50 first-place votes. That fell one first-place vote shy of making Jackson one of the rare...

Xander Schauffele had an outstanding 2024 season, but even he knows the Player of the Year award is not his.

Since 1990, when the PGA Tour established the Player of the Year Award—now known as the Jack Nicklaus Award—eight players have won multiple major championships in a given season.

Tiger Woods accomplished this feat on four occasions, winning multiple majors in 2000, 2002, 2005, and 2006....

WhatsApp is making a massive change to the way it saves your contacts

Illustration: The Verge

WhatsApp is getting a built-in contact manager that lets you save contacts within the app so you don’t lose them if you switch phones.

WhatsApp typically relies on the smartphone address book it runs on to hold and manage contacts. Arkansas has enough lithium for the world’s EVs — but getting to it is the problem

Image: Hugo Herrera / The Verge

Arkansas is sitting atop lithium reserves that could be vast enough to satisfy the entire world’s demand for EV batteries, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
